What you will be doing:

Manager of Occupancy Planning & Reporting is a key role on the Workplace Solutions Team. This role has two distinct responsibilities. Occupancy Planning: Includes all aspects of tactical space planning - engage internal clients to understand and document business requirements and demand; capture and update our facility management system (FM) on space allocations, supply, space and demand types and occupancy data; develop solution scenarios that incorporate assigned and unassigned desking.


Reporting: Refine and develop reports concerning occupancy, attendance, sensor and WS departmental.  The goal is not to simply report, but to create presentations that tell the story about the implications of what the data is telling us.This is an ideal opportunity for someone who understands space, has refined analytical skills and has interpersonal skills required to develop trusted relationships both inside and outside our WS team.  The ability to partner with WS and other leaders to build a deep understanding of what Asurion departments do and require to be productive in our Asurion workplace is critical to success in this role.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Refine requirements for occupancy, attendance, and sensor dashboards
  • Summarize dashboard data into understandable reports and presentations for non- real estate audience
  • Produce Sr. Leadership reports concerning attendance and space utilization
  • Create monthly WS departmental report
  • Partner with business units to understand demand needs
  • Develop tactical plans and support project execution ensuring outcome aligns with strategic decisions
  • Understand up and down stream space dependencies/adjacencies across the real estate portfolio (including global locations)
  • Collaborate with other team members to gain business intelligence. Responsible for occupancy data within the system of record. May be required to manage space walks for validation and update of occupancy metrics.
  • Make recommendations to Management on necessary space planning code changes and/or requirements and updates.
  • Attend client meetings to collect requirements, present findings, and recommendations. Obtains approvals to proceed when required.
  • Act as a single point of contact for relevant space related systems/processes.
  • Proactively identify “hot spots” or impending changes, including recommended solutions to solve opportunity
  • Analyze space requirements and provide conceptual space plans and recommendations to real estate team(s) and/or stake holders. Updates existing building stack plans and ensure they are “presentation ready”.

Here’s what you’ll bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-5 years understanding and developing tactical occupancy planning with experience in client facing role.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills: experience engaging stakeholders on demand and supply planning.
  • Problem Solving mindset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong collaboration, cross-functional partnership, project management, and program coordination skills
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • CAD experience preferred.
  • FM Systems experience beneficial.

Pay: Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The budgeted starting salary range for this role, is $76,400 with flexibility to go up from there + potential for bonuses.
