What can our construction projects build for you?

We are seeking an IR Advisor to provide assistance to our exciting projects in Metropolitan and Western Sydney.

You will be supported by the corporate IR Manager and Project HR teams to ensure an industry leading industrial relations environment is achieved and maintained throughout the Project lifecycles

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work with the Industrial Relations Manager and Project Management team to ensure management plans are implemented and adhered to
  • Support the delivery of training to projects on Industrial Relations, Code Compliance, Right of Entry etc.
  • Ensure Projects maintain relevant compliance with applicable enterprise agreement
  • Work with Superintendents and Project Managers to provide advice on IR issues including Award and EBA interpretation.
  • Support dispute processes within relevant projects and the IR Manager. 
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise agreements and workplace relations management plans
  • To be suitable for this role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, legal or relevant experience desirable but aptitude and positive attitude are more critical
  • Well-developed communication (verbal & written) skills tailored to the appropriate audience
  • A solutions focus with a high degree of attention to detail
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing skills and commitment to CPB’s People First values
  • IR/ER experience within a blue collar, construction or related industry will be beneficial, but attitude and aptitude are more important
  • Previous Employer association experience may assist in this role
