Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Position Summary

This is a position for multiple camps. The camp nurse assesses campers’ needs when presented. Provide appropriate treatment on a timely basis. Check campers’ forms for parental consent. If no medication or treatment is listed, call parents or others listed on the form for permission to treat. Call M.D or 911 if necessary. Send to ER if needed. Make sure all necessary forms completed and sent to the doctor or ER with the camper. Document treatment is given.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Completion of an approved nursing program, and Georgia Nursing License.
