Primarily responsible for performing installation, repairs and maintenance on a variety of equipment including water heaters, sewer

lines, faucets, vacuum breakers, sump pumps, hot water return systems, mixing valves, toilets, bed pan sprayers, air lines, steam

lines, medical outlets and water lines.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

_Technical Knowledge Required:_

+ Understands and has mastered sewer distribution systems to include: identifying main components, understand how each component works and diagnosing and correcting problems.

+ Understands the theory of water distribution to include: basic engineering of water distribution systems, identifying main components in water distribution system, understand how each component works, diagnose and troubleshoot problems and perform routine maintenance.

+ Understands the fundamentals of drain cleaning techniques to include the proper use of the following equipment: closet augers, plungers, multiple sectional machine drain cleaners and multiple drum machine drain cleaners and jetters.

_Technical Skills Required:_

+ A plumber must be able to repair, adjust, maintain, retrofit and troubleshoot all applicable equipment.

+ A plumber must be able to proficiently perform the following tasks: soldering, brazing, cut and thread pipe, ProPres System.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities:**

+ Check in with the team leader after completion of each job and at the end of each work day.

+ During each task complete all company forms needed.

+ Responsible for time management of jobs scheduled each day.

+ Check in with client at the beginning and end of each task.

+ Complete daily time sheet at the end of each day.

+ Ensure all vendor packing slips or invoices for each job are secured to the related job forms.

+ Ensure all materials used for each task are listed properly on the company provided forms.

+ Follow up with insulators when required after repairs.

+ Consult Team leader in times of uncertainty.

+ Check in as needed to ensure Team Leader is aware of your status.

+ Call in major repairs to the Team Leader and provide the necessary information needed to make repairs.

+ Secure parts and tools needed throughout the day for various jobs.

+ Answer all calls and pages in a timely mannor.

+ Assist other technicians on others jobs as needed.

+ Must be able to build client confidence in department.

+ Provide information to team leader on training needs and courses of interest.

+ Responsible for the daily preparation of the parts, forms and tools for each days activities.

+ Complete work in a professional and timely manner.

+ Participate in department-wide internal meetings as required.

+ Maintain and be accountable for company tools in a professional manner.

One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent

combination of education and experience.
