The Aftermarket and Sustainment Engineering (ASE) organization is looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual for the position of Military Engine Deputy Project Discipline Manager.

The Deputy Project Discipline Manager is a challenging and visible leadership position for the right individual and provides an excellent opportunity to directly contribute to the success of P&W and ASE while delivering repairs for our military engine customers.

The successful candidate will be a talented, goal oriented and focused team leader. This role will include Project Engineers as direct reports and will require someone who is good at communicating, mentoring, coordinating multiple tasks and providing overall leadership across the ASE Military Engine project engineering team. The selected individual will work closely with the Project Discipline Manager to develop and implement best practices across the team while providing overall leadership to ensure repair deliveries are completed on schedule to support our customer commitments.

This is a full time/hybrid position.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist the Project Discipline Manager in developing a fully capable, highly proficient project engineering team
* Focus on discipline proficiency and training requirements for the team
* Lead advancement of the project discipline, and continuous improvement of project engineering tools and procedures
* Develop delivery plans and manage repair program tasks and milestones
* Assist team in risk abatement activity, coordinating cross functional efforts to mitigate schedule risk
* Lead all aspects of Military Engine repair from a project engineering discipline perspective including development/update of relevant Engineering Standard Work

Basic Qualifications:

* A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years
* prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
* Experience in the Aerospace industry
* US Person Status required due to government contracts
* Focus on results and the ability to drive tasks to completion
* Demonstrated effectiveness in working across functions, organizations and all levels of management
* Working knowledge and application of CORE principles to improve team effectiveness and efficiency
* Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Project

Preferred Qualifications:

* Typically requires a degree
* in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a
* minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by
* local laws/regulations
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a consistent record of collaboration, innovation, and initiative
* Eager to learn new things, contribute a fresh perspective, and share knowledge with others
* Demonstration of strong leadership capability
* A passion for mentorship and professional development of others
* Prior industry experience working on Military Programs
