**Position Overview**

We are pursuing a Capital District Facilities Practice Builder to join a multi-disciplinary team to expand and grow our Facilities team in our Albany office. This position will be supported by our New York State team of full service in-house architecture/engineering design professionals, as well as support from our national team.

**Position Responsibilities:**

We are seeking a highly motivated, proactive, and passionate individual with strong client relationships, design, project management, technical and creative skills to build our Facilities practice in the Capital District region. Responsibilities include proactively building a portfolio of facilities design work by leveraging existing clients in the Capital Region and existing term assignments, growing the team for the office with strong project management, project team coordination, performing design tasks, maintaining schedules and budgets, client interactions, and internal coordination with our established team.

Additional responsibilities include working with practice leaders on overall vision and strategy, plus leading all phases of Capital District-specific facilities projects. Must also coordinate with other groups within and outside of the firm. Additionally, the position will include personnel management responsibilities and the opportunity to build a team around you.

**Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:**

+ 10+ years of related architectural, facility design with project management experience.

+ Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Structural, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

+ Professional licensure is preferred

+ Facilities-focused design experience is preferred.

+ Passion to build a team and practice around you.

+ Self-motivated with ability to lead varying-size project teams and multiple projects from concept to construction.

+ Willingness to collaborate with our Facilities Team and other multi-discipline groups within C&S.

+ Interest in advancing innovation and technology through project delivery.

+ Ability to succeed in small and large multi-disciplinary team environments.

+ Ability to set deadlines, assign resources, monitor/summarize project progress.

+ Good graphic, communications (verbal and written) and presentation skills.

+ Comprehensive understanding of design and construction documents.
