Synopsys is looking for Physical Design Engineers with excellent automation and analytical skills for the Design Methodology team. This role involves developing RTL2GDS design methodology for different design styles which produce optimal QoR with newer technology nodes.
This role will provide rare insight into new technology development processes. As part of this team, you will be responsible for providing feedback to technology and library development teams on how to tune/optimize process and library components to improve design PPA.

Knowledge of Design Implementation process from RTL Synthesis to PNR
Working understanding of Synopsys Fusion Design Implementation solution including Fusion Compiler, PrimeTime, StarRCXT, ICV
Working understanding DFM and DFY
Solid understanding of Technology/Library Collateral needed to support design Implementation Flows
Understanding of STD Cell design and characterization process
The role involves extensive collaboration with Technology/Process and Library Development teams to excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must
Excellent automation skills in TCL is a must
Python skills will be a big positive
