Our Corporate Trust division sits within our Certane business and is a respected provider of corporate trust services to the financial services industry in Australia.
As a corporate trustee or custodian we are the legal owner of, or hold security over, assets and financial instruments on behalf of our clients as well as providing administration and agency services.
The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a talented Accountant to join the Certane Corporate Trust business playing a key role in the Finance team. This position has responsibility for managing Certane CT’s invoicing, collections, account reconciliations and general month end requirements. In addition, this position will also assist the Senior Finance Manager with general accounting related tasks.
Some of the tasks include but are not limited to:
Invoice processing with varied & complex pricing calculations or recovery of costs. Invoices issued promptly when due.
Reconciliation of the Collection Account and other related bank accounts.
Month End requirements -process journals, prepare reports, balance sheet reconciliations etc for the Certane CT business group.
Maintain Trade Debtors – includes issuing monthly account statements and chasing clients for payment.
Payment of invoices to suppliers. Payment of costs recovered to third parties.
Requirements
Skills and experience
Degree in Accounting/Business or Commerce
CA/CPA qualified or working towards qualification
2yr + post graduate experience in an equivalent role

Understanding of basic accounting & tax requirements
Ability to work with number
Excellent communication skills

Solid administration skills

Client/customer service experience

Developed PC skills eg intermediate/advance MS Excel etc
