About the role 

Councils Safer Communities Department is looking for a Safer Communities Project Officer who will be responsible to proactively promote and undertake activities to increase animal registrations. Your main responsibilities will include: 
Assist with the development and implementation of programs associated with the annual registration process with supervision from the Senior Safer Community Officer
Proactively promote animal registration and compulsory desexing through community education and enforcement
Conduct door-knocks throughout the municipality to determine the presence of animals on premises and maintain accurate and detailed records of work undertaken
This is a temporary part time role working 31 hours per week (4 days) up to 30 June 2024. Working days are flexible. 

About you
Developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to draft basic correspondence
Self-motivation and the ability to work cooperatively as a team member
Victorian Drivers Licence
Relevant experience in animal registration, animal management or law enforcement

This position is a Band 4 currently remunerated between $69,384 to $73,838 (pro rata) per annum, plus superannuation.
