About the role Reporting to the Director of Technology – APAC, the Technical Project Manager will have responsibility for managing technology projects across the APAC region. This includes coverage across two Software portfolios and our Research and Learning business and provides the opportunity to shape the PMO function. It will suit an enthusiastic Technical Project Manager looking to join a business in transformation with the ability to work in an autonomous fashion. They will work across all stages of the project life cycle with experience and strengths in client and stakeholder management, budget development, commercial and contractual management, and ultimately the scoping, planning and execution of projects. Projects can consist of internal compliance, software transformation and externally focused customer engagements with large multi-nationals. Working closely with our diverse Product and Technology teams, the Technical Project Manager will be required to deliver best in field project management capability to ensure project delivery efficiency is achieved in alignment with cost and time constraints. They must be able to set expectations and effectively prioritize work in a high pressure and demanding environment. It is expected the Technical Project Manager will have the ability to refine and improve the Wolters Kluwer project management methodology and establish a methodical approach to delivering projects. A strong emphasis is placed upon having deep technical acumen to effectively deliver technical projects spanning software and infrastructure. Key Competencies: Hands on approach to project management demonstrating strong leadership and coaching of our delivery team Strong Influencer and driver of projects to inspire and gain buy-in from multiple stakeholders. Strategic outlook and the ability to connect commercial objectives to project priorities Ability to enable teams with the right resources, tools, uniform processes/standards to make informed and quick decisions Tight budget controls to monitor, report and flag insights back to the organization About you: Have proven and demonstrable experience as a Technical Project Manager; offering in excess of 7+ year’s experience working in the delivery of Technology / IT Projects. Have worked in Agile, or SAFE project management methodologies or have a proven Project Management certification such as PRINCE2 or PMP IT knowledge – detailed knowledge of current IT technologies, best practice and trends and the application of these technologies within the Software industry Background in Cloud, CMS, Integration and Database technologies Strong technical knowledge and skills and a strong background in partnering and influencing business stakeholders, with experience with large corporate clients well regarded.
