Position Summary

We are looking for a high performing Investment Analyst with 3+ years’ experience gained within a similar alternative investment environment. Working in our Sydney office and as part of a team of 5 investment professionals, you will be actively involved in the analysis, execution, and monitoring of our ANZ SD&E investments whilst also being part of a larger SD&E APAC team based in both Singapore and Hong Kong.

Primary Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

Deal Identification/Origination


Support in the sourcing of investment opportunities with the senior team members


Research into potential targets for direct approaches.


Screening/Analysis


Complete the analysis, modelling, and evaluation of proposals, performing sensitivity analysis and benchmarks.


Provide assistance during the initial screening stage of an investment opportunity.


Contribute to the production of investment papers and other internal documents.


Due Diligence


Support the due diligence work streams including both credit analysis and equity valuation analysis for senior management.


Liaise and work with external advisors whenever necessary.


Participate in management meetings.


Deal Closing


Liaise with external consultants, auditors and lawyers.


Follow up on legal documents/agreements and communicate to relevant internal stakeholders.


Portfolio Management


Assist investee companies as requested by senior management.


Work with internal groups to monitor ongoing investments by:


Regularly reviewing financials.


Valuations of Portfolio Companies.


Monitoring and assessing performance against budget and KPI’s.


Exit


Participate in the monitoring and evaluation of potential exit alternatives.


Assist with due diligence preparation.


Assist with legal documentation.


Key Requirements


3+ Investment analyst experience within a Private Equity environment with the ability to work with senior managers and clients


Able to interact with senior management and clients


Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
