Key responsibilities areas:
Setting vision and direction for products and processes innovation to ensure sustainability and leadership position of the organization.
Leading and aligning people (30 or more) towards achieving the vision and values in a dynamic organization.
Complying with country regulatory environments, governing bodies, and industry compliance requirements.
Keeping abreast of latest cutting-edge technology relevant to the industry.
Developing business plan for product and process innovation/development.
Identifying opportunities to design new innovative products and processes aligned with the organization's business plan and strategic vision.
Conducting analyses to measure product competitiveness and performance.
Creating a conducive environment for process or product innovation.
Analyzing and interpreting data to drive continuous improvement.
Planning and directing research activities and experiments.
Applying scientific principles, practices and findings.
Defining key performance indicators for new products or processes.
Developing methods to evaluate product technical performance aligned to international benchmarking R&D methodologies.
Candidate must possess at least a Doctorate (PhD) in Polymer Science, Material Science, Chemistry, Engineering (Chemical), or related field
Minimum 7 years in leading and managing innovative and breakthrough research on new products and processes.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in patent registration (local and international).
New product, process and materials development methodologies including product maintenance procedures.
Manufacturing technologies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Project Management Principles.
Lean manufacturing concepts and operational efficiency methods and practices.
Continuous improvement methods (e.g. process mapping, 5S and kaizen).
DOE and other established benchmarked Research & Development Methodologies.
