About this role

Our client is the leader in luxury hotel developments, driven by creating breathtaking interior design in global destinations. With an expanding team in their HQ in Melbourne, they’re now looking to appoint a Styling and FF+E Leader with an amazing design eye to bring a fresh vitality and approach to the way that their interiors are approached.

This role is fully flexible; you can choose to be in the studio fulltime, work a hybrid arrangement or, having fully embraced remote working for the long term, this studio can accommodate any location for the right person. Its up to the individual to structure their own working week.

To be considered for this role, you will have 10+ years of experience in putting together concepts, selection and coordination of high-end luxury interiors, ideally hotels, hospitality or residential. You will have detailed knowledge of suppliers, detailing, scheduling, exceptional client management and presentation skills.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Bring a fresh creative direction and development
  • Introduce materials, ideas, products and suppliers to the organisation
  • Lead, motivate and inspire an in-house FFE team of 15 (within a broader studio of 100)
  • Involved in the production of high quality client presentations
  • Involved with the designing of bespoke joinery, furniture, lighting, carpets
  • Project and Budget planning
  • Manage projects deadlines and deliverables
  • Guide clients through the design process
  • Source, select and coordination FF+E
  • Attend and lead site meetings related to styling and FFE
  • Skills and Experience  

  • Tertiary qualification in Interior Design
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in luxury interiors
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, excellent communication skills.
  • Skilled in InDesign, Photoshop
  • Ability to manage external consultants, suppliers, installation teams
  • Ability to interpret, develop and deliver client briefs
  • Ability to coordinate styling of 3D renders, display suites and finished projects
  • Extensive FF+E knowledge related to hotels and hospitality projects
  • Excellent attention to detail
