At Australian Unity we are going through an exciting phase of innovative change with the commissioning of a brand-new Aged Care Facility opening its doors in the beautiful Kilsyth in September .

Walmsley Aged Care will be a purpose built bed Aged Care Facility that provides state of the art care utilising our Better Together Model and state of the Art Facilities which include a light filled Café, private dining facilities, a hair and beauty salon, a multi faith room, a gym to help with Rehabilitation and small household living arrangements consisting of 16 to 19 residents.

Our Better Together model focuses on providing the best care to our residents and work life balance for our staff. We ensure that residents will truly be able to partner with teams to create their own care plans, schedules and ensure that they are living their lives the way that they want to.

With the Better Together model and its purpose, the facility will not just be an Aged Care Facility; it will be the resident’s home and we are seeking the best talent to make this possible.

The role  

We are currently looking for motivated  Personal Care Assistants (or Care Companions)  to join us as a founding member of the Walmsley Aged Care Team. We are not only focused on providing exceptional care to our residents but to provide a safe, secure, friendly, and supportive environment for our staff members. We are looking for Personal Care Assistants (or Care Companions) to join us on a Full Time, Part Time, or Casual Basis.

What you will be doing

  • Providing a range of support and personal care services to our customers
  • Ensuring detailed documentation is updated
  • Building and maintain strong relationships within the business, with our customer and family members
  • Adhering to health and safety guidelines and policies to keep yourself and our residents safe
  • Providing meaningful experiences which enable our residents to thrive
  • About you

  • You are a friendly, warm and compassionate person who has a strong desire to work with and assist the elderly
  • You have a strong want to listen and understand our client’s needs and requirements
  • Availability in work over 7-day roster.
  • You hold Relevant qualifications such as a Certificate III in Individual Support
  • You have a driver’s licence and a reliable car
