Job Description

Job Summary:

The Sr. Software Test Engineer will support and enable automated testing and integrations for Service Now.  Supporting the Testing team, the Test Engineer will design and build automated tests and test environments for Service Now application and integrations.  Support for integrations involves building self-service integration tools and providing coding, troubleshooting and technical support to teams that integrate with Service Now.

Essential Functions:
Develop, test, and debug new ServiceNow tests using Automated Test Framework.
Build, operate and maintain testing environments.
Analyze test requirements, identify gaps and work with internal customers and business analysts for test requirements clarifications, provide configuration options to identify solution pros and cons, maintain a high degree of quality.
Write technical design and build documentation for all aspects of testing and integrations
Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis of production issues that arise related to integrations. Explain technical concepts and provide related guidance.
Support multiple instances of the platform including Development, QA, Regression and Production.
Participate in project meetings/daily scrums and communicate testing status.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Basic Qualifications:
4 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD).
Preferred Qualifications:
•In-depth knowledge and experience across ServiceNow Platform, Portal, Mobile and IT Service Management modules.
•Knowledge of automated testing and Continuous Integration/Continuous Development principles
•Strong analytical skills with the ability to extensively analyze business processes and workflow
•Knowledge of APIs, web services and standard relational database concepts required
•Knowledge maintaining and supporting the ServiceNow platform
•Knowledge and experience working with ServiceNow Security features, administering Users, Roles, Groups, ACLs
•Good to have experience with JavaScript, JSON, SQL and HTML
•Strong understanding of ServiceNow Best Practices
•Effective communication with customers, system administrators, team members and management and use sound judgment when considering enterprise impacts of technical decisions
•Good communication skills to work effectively with team members, support personnel, management and customers in geographically dispersed locations and ability to work as part of a team as well as independently

Work Hours:
•This position requires the incumbent to be available during core business hours.
Travel Requirements:
•This position does not require travel.
Physical Requirements:
•This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
