The role
Under direct supervision of the Head of Finance, and with input from the CEO, this role is critical to the management of revenue across the organisation. Focusing on client billings, purchases & profitability the role calls for candidates that have a strong capability to manage data, implement business processes and embrace new technologies. With a career pathway into either financial or management accounting, this role suits someone who is looking to move away from data entry and into analytics and control.
Key Accountabilities 


Client invoicing and debt collection
Manage the end-to-end invoicing function ensuring accuracy and compliance with NDIS requirements.
Assist with timely collection of all debtor invoices and where required raise manual claims for outstanding NDIS debts. Prepare requests for write offs in line with InLife Debtor write off policy.
Assist with EOM accruals calculations, along with metric and client reporting in line with EOM timetables.
Contribute to monthly financial close including accounts reconciliations, and support management of client related accounts (Suspense, Client Prepayments, Clients Funds Held) along with the annual audit and budgeting process.
Shared supports lead
Manage the end-to-end finance function for shared support locations in conjunction with the appropriate Client Services team members and Client Funds officer. This will include budgeting, analysis of profitability, workforce planning and reporting.
Client purchases
Manage the distributed purchasing system used for client and core team purchases including budget setup, reconciliation and investigations.
Maintain the CSM and Coordinator purchasing guides with the assistance of the Client Funds Coordinator and Management Accountant.
Manage the weekly travel reimbursement function for assistants and core staff in conjunction with payroll.
Client analysis
Design and deliver client reporting suites as requested and within required timelines under the guidance of the Management Accountant
Undertake ad hoc analysis at the request of senior management that relates to clients with direction from the Management Accountant
Financial Plan Administration
Manage the fortnightly financial plan administration data entry and lodgment with NDIS.
Make payments to suppliers on behalf of FPM clients.
Make suggestions around automation and customer/supplier interaction with FPM process
The role will also play an important role in supporting the wider business function with project development and general administration.

To be successful you'll have
Enthusiasm and passion for supporting people with disabilities
Advanced level excel skills and in reviewing data required
Experience in client billings, invoice creation and reconciliation
Basic skills in accounts payable and receivable preferred
Strong customer service orientation, listening skills, written and oral communication skills
Tech savvy with G Suite, MS office applications, Xero and a quick adopter of new software applications
Additional requirements

It will be expected that the candidate filling this role will be completed or near completing a relevant post graduate accounting designation (CPA, CA etc).
