About the role

We are currently looking for an efficient and organised Maintenance Planner/ Scheduler to join our Works Delivery team, to play a key role in scheduling and dispatching field crews to perform critical secondary systems maintenance and refurbishment works on QLD’s HV Transmission Network.

You will plan for the safe and efficient execution of work packages in order to ensure day to day field work is delivered to time, budget and quality requirements. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement and optimisation of work practices and processes.

About you

Your success in this role will rely on your previous operational field experience and your ability to apply your knowledge of secondary systems to plan for and achieve desired delivery outcomes.

You can also demonstrate previous success in planning, scheduling and delivering technical work packages, as well as providing technical services to field and professional staff.

You will also need experience in the following areas:

  • Ensuring that maintenance and refurbishments works are delivered safely and efficiently.
  • Managing the restoration of a transmission network.
  • Improving work process and practices to optimise output of assigned resources.
  • Coordinating multi-discipline teams to effect desired outcomes
  • Accurately compile and deliver technical information to field crews over various mediums.
  • Detailed reporting on a work package, monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Qualifications


  • Associate Diploma (AQF level 6) in Electrical Engineering and/or Project Management OR Trade qualifications and considerable experience in construction, refurbishment and maintenance activities in a transmission environment.
  • “C” Class driver’s license
  • Desirable

  • Relevant authorisation in Queensland High Voltage Isolation and Access
  • Cert 4 in Workplace Health & Safety
