Global Operations within CLSA proposition lies in delivering an innovative, flexible, adaptable, and nimble trade/cash settlements/agency clearing platform with global capabilities. At the heart is a message-based technology platform, which utilizes a workflow-oriented architecture leveraged by a globally distributed and integrated operational infrastructure. India/Singapore operations will include global management roles in addition to being one of 2 central hubs for all Middle and Back Office activities. Most of these services is been supported by a fully automated electronic platform that will be backed up by a 24x5 Support Desk in Singapore and Pune.
Global Operations structured as a lean, efficient, independent Department within CLSA. With approximately 150 employees, CLSA Global Operations small size offers the advantage of speed and flexibility while its activities will rank it among the top tier agency clearing businesses.
The Cash Operation team is part of the Back office Operations department. The primary responsibility of the BO Cash operations department is of cash flows management, payments, FX settlements and funding in a number of international markets. It also caters to OTC derivatives products like Swap, options, Futures, etc for cash settlement activities like Margin, Collateral.
The Associate/Officer will have an out-going personality and be capable of developing the trust and respect of colleagues and counterparts. The Officer/Associate will report to the Manager of Cash operation in Pune/SG. He/she must be prepared to work closely with others in the best interests of the organization.
Team orientated, he/she must be able to work with colleagues and counterparts in a culturally diverse and fast-paced environment. He/she must be fluent in both written and spoken English and have a general familiarity with Microsoft Office. He/she should be willing and able to challenge existing processes and procedures. Suggest and implement changes where it is justified to be appropriate and necessary. The Officer will need to be capable of specifying business requirements for enhancements or replacements of existing or new applications
Custody overdraft & Margin monitoring
FOP Payments processing
MTM & Collaterals payments processing
FX Settlement and payments processing
Preparation and Verification of Funding Sheets
Cash Projection and Funding requirements
Project participation, UAT testing
Should be good with Swift knowledge like MT103, MT202, MT300, etc
Skills and Experience:
Graduate with at least 3+ years of experience in a Cash, Treasury /banking related industry or similar position
Detailed knowledge of European and Asian and US equity and Fixed income, Derivative products , their practices, procedures and trends
Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with all senior levels of management.

Timely escalation of issues to management.
Knowledge of operations systems/applications commonly used in cash/treasury related industry
Ability to take up multi-tasking and accomplish tasks in priorities in a timely manner

Educational / Professional Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Masters in Commerce and Finance/Banking (MBA preferred)
Knowledge of Capital markets and instruments is a plus, in addition to front to back investment banking processes
Any Additional Requirements:
Strong Communication skills capable of working with different levels of staff from all the Asia Pacific Countries.
Good interpersonal skills and excellent written/oral communication skills.
