We are currently recruiting for a Financial Analyst to complement our Corporate Finance team.

Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you will work in close partnership with the key stakeholders, analyse data and provide valuable insights/commentary in respect of business performance (versus comparative measures), trends and projections, and be comfortable working with ambiguity. You will work closely with the Group Remuneration Services team and broader business in providing timely, accurate and compliance-focused financial accounting functions for the group.

Key Responsibilities:

Review end-of-month balance sheet, profit & loss statement and cash flow statement to provide insightful analysis and explanations regarding performance, movements and balances, and other key financial measures

Review and approve monthly general ledger reconciliations and ensuring reconciling items are managed and resolved in a timely manner

Business partnering on client profitability analysis & opportunities, pricing and new service offerings

Provide robust financial modelling to support business cases, tenders and new initiatives within the departments.

Contribute to M&A activities

Assist with preparation of corporate tax returns for review by Group Financial Reporting manager and external consultants

Responsible for the budgeting and forecasting process

Assist with the development of financial planning within the relevant department, ensuring strategy, workforce, activity and finances are aligned.

Ensure financial plans are accurately reflected in budgets and adhere to agreed assumptions

What are we looking for?

Degree qualified ACA / CPA

Superior computer and technology literacy, including advanced Excel skills

Strong technical accounting experience along

High level of accuracy, and a keen eye for process improvement

Ability to provide insightful analysis to financial and non-financial stakeholders

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to connect, support and challenge internal and external clients and to operate effectively as a member of a team

Excellent organisation and time management skills, and the ability manage conflicting priorities

An ability to work autonomously

Prior experience in the financial services industry would be advantageous
