In this challenging role, you will initially be involved in the Economic and Financial Statistics (EFS) project, working to deliver enhanced reporting functionality sourced from multiple business systems e.g. Axiom via a central repository (data hub). Following the EFS project, there is also a large schedule of work in the Group Finance space when it comes to satisfy future APRA reporting expectations.

Key responsibilities will include:

Working closely with the Group Finance subject matter experts, Group Architecture, Corp Data, Tech and Business Unit delivery teams to agree solutions and delivery timeframes
Creating and maintaining delivery timelines and engagement schedules in line with program deadlines
Consulting with subject matter expert stakeholders to gather and document functional and regulatory requirements
Supporting design, build and testing phases
Establishing post go-live processes and supporting business readiness
Ensuring compliance with program standards, templates and processes
Proactively engaging with stakeholders to ensure open communication and a ‘one team’ approach

About you:

You are a university qualified Business Analyst with significant experience in medium to large Finance Project roles
Minimum 5 Business Analysis experience
A flexible, proactive, solution-oriented approach and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong documentation skills with the ability to develop complete, accurate and unambiguous documentation of business analysis artifacts
Ability to exercise initiative and be able to follow through on issues
Pragmatic approach to problem solving
’Can do’ attitude, with a proven record of delivering within a project team
Flexible skill set and confident approach to tackling issues
Experience working on projects in the financial services industry
A familiarity with Data Modelling especially with APRA taxonomy and/or Axiom would be highly advantageous as well as being experienced and comfortable with interpreting large volumes of data
Prince2 or PMI qualifications are an advantage
CA/CPA qualifications are an advantage
