Description


The Banking & Financial Services Security and Fraud Prevention team defends Macquarie’s retail banking and financial services business. The team ensures the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Macquarie’s systems and information.

Join our Information Security Office as a Cyber Culture and Outreach lead where you will be driving the internal and external security culture and awareness activities to improve both internal and external cyber resilience.

As part of this role, you will need to understand global security trends and convey any key messages to internal and external stakeholders

Responsibilities include:

Work with internal stakeholders to develop cyber training materials, resources, and awareness collateral
Be the lead on working with our clients to deliver engaging and pragmatic cyber awareness sessions
Effectively communicate security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Working with our engineering teams and emphasizing the requirements of security with an agile mindset
Keeping up to date with industry trends on cybersecurity as well as the ability to interpret and understand regulations and the impact it will have on our teams

Beneficial experience that you will bring

7+ years of experience within the cybersecurity domain
Working in large organisations and understanding the complexities of financial services
Familiarity with working with engineering and technical teams to talk through the importance and requirements of security and understanding of how agile works
Experience with shift-left or DevSecOps principles and implementation
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively about abstract and complex topics to a range of audiences
Experience in delivering presentations to clients on a variety of security topics
Agility and a “Have a go” attitude to adapt and change in response to internal and external factors affecting our threat landscape and mitigation strategies.
Strong team player collaborating with the broader BFS Security and Fraud teams
