We are urgently hiring an Agile Coach. This role will be coaching and mentoring agile teams through transformational change to drive engagement and deliver on key business objectives.

The job is due to start immediately with a 3 month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coach teams in agile values, principles and practices and models the agile mindset

• Anticipate and address/remove blockers/impediments that the team may encounter so the team can remain focused on its goals

• Shape the design of processes and practices used by the team based on their maturity and ensure team adherence to the agreed agile process rules

• Help the team manage and resolve conflicts and challenges, and play a key role in improving team cohesion, motivation, dynamics and performance

• Coach the teams to be self-managing, self-organizing and continually improving

• In collaboration with the Product Owner, review and refine the product backlog, re prioritizing and re-assessing the relevance of tasks/stories

• Negotiate with product owners and stakeholders to protect the team from external influences impacting their ability to meet the agreed goals

• Coach newer scrum masters to build capability and lead a community of practice to facilitate continued learning and capability across the agency

• Provide Program level coaching on agile principles, approaches and practices in the Agency’s context.

• Identify and tailor appropriate agile tools, guidelines and metrics to establish better and improve use of agile teams. Support should include identifying standards and practices for a program to manage individual agile teams to follow.


• Extensive Agile coaching experience

• Significant experience in implementing agile project methodologies in large organisations

• Proven experience in building internal capability of organisations

• Extensive stakeholder management experience with the skills to resolve disputes, develop team cohesion

• Demonstrated experience in improving team performance through application of Agile principles

• Demonstrated leadership skills to build self-managing teams in an environment of trust

• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate business and technical problems

• Strong knowledge and applied experience with Agile Processes

• Experience using Jira
