Translations Lead

What will you do in this role?

The Translation Lead is responsible for the workflow and quality control of the translations across all assigned courses. This includes briefing, managing the flow of assets, overseeing the implementation process with resources and vendors, and reviewing completed work.

Key Task & Responsibilities

Assist in analysing the translations needs for each project.
Briefing resources on extracting content for translation, check that all assets are accounted for and correct before handing it over for translation.
Brief and manage the team and or vendor working on Speech Synthesis creation, on-screen text translation, Storyline translation and Rise translation.
Assist with any technical queries and uphold individual language standards like fonts and text orientation.
Review all assigned lessons and uphold a high level of quality across courses.
In conjunction with the Project Manager, manage the flow of content and information between production phases, departments, resources, and vendors. Communicate any changes to the work, problems, or delays, and manage all relationships effectively and professionally.
Advise on process improvements for translations projects.
Advise on technical solutions to improve the translations process.

Skills / Competencies 

Knowledge and experience in preparing Video, Storyline and Rise content for translation.
A keen eye for detail to maintain quality across languages, lessons, and clients.
Detailed knowledge of working with Storyline.
Competent in working with Rise.
Competent in Adobe Suite - Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects and Audition.
Captivate knowledge would be beneficial.
Excellent time management and quality management skills are essential.
Ability to work to the standards required and as per the deadlines given.
Good Time Management skills are required.
Good Team Management skills are required.

Minimum experience required

Minimum five to eight years’ experience in post-production, with a focus on video editing and storyline development.
Minimum two years’ experience managing a team.
Extensive experience in working with multiple projects, at scale, is essential. 
Minimum three years’ experience working in an e-learning environment. 
Significant expertise in all technical aspects of post-production.

Minimum qualifications/education

Relevant degree or diploma in film or video content production is required.
