Technology is an important part of our business. Our content is only available digitally, and we develop and support our syndicated, as well as bespoke solutions from a number of our global offices. As a result we engage with our users on a daily basis to receive feedback on our products or engage in support. We have four development centres, Bangalore, Cape Town, London and Vilnius and a total staff of 200, headed up by a Chief Technologist who is a member of the global leadership team. The technologies we have in our estate are as varied as the processes we support, from creating, publishing and distributing, querying validating and visualising statistical data and written content. The data sets we work with run into decades across 100 different markets and currently, 36 industries. As a result, performance and searchability is something we are constantly working on.
We are currently running with a number of technology transformation initiatives, everything from clouding, to implementing micro services and exploring semantic technologies. We are also running a Digital Workplace programme, to improve collaboration and increasing automation. We encourage our team members to innovate and share their thinking not just within the company, but to a wider audience too. Our development methods are Agile and we are actively developing our processes, tools and technologies toward DevOps.
Reporting to the Head of Subscription Products, the Product Manager along with the Product Team is the champions, the evangelists, the strategists, the voice of the customer! As Product Manager, you will collaborate with key stakeholders and industry specialists to drive priorities and roadmaps that generate measurable business value and create innovative and industry-leading products.
In this role you will be expected to work with a geographically distributed team and possess an understanding of working with Big Data systems.
Develop and communicate a clear technology roadmap in support of the Euromonitor strategy, goals and objectives. Where applicable this will also extend to non-IT solutions, such as on-going business processes.
Working with the Head of Engineering and Technical Leads, take responsible for the product lifecycle, from inception, innovation, build, release through to delivery and support.
Define success criteria that can be built into the design and development lifecycle and can be measured through analytics/metrics.
Be the face of the product within technology, acting as the point person for the product and the proxy for product delivery to the stakeholder community.
Ensure the product backlog is up-to-date, visible and accurate to business and customer needs.
Ensure customer experience is an integral part of the process considering research, UX and design.
Perform scoping, requirement gathering and analysis with business owners and key stakeholders, sharing feedback and managing timelines.
Develop and maintain documentation of business requirements, workflows, processes, applications, and data dictionaries as required.
Work with the team to develop a comprehensive set of requirements that address all defined customer needs, ensuring effective communication to assure a complete and consistent understanding of the requirements.
Work with business stakeholders to ensure bug and enhancement requests are prioritised in line with organisational needs, and are delivered in a timely fashion, keeping business users informed on progress.
Ensure product solutions and project delivery is in line with budget, objectives and quality standards agreed by business owners.
Ensure relevant stakeholders at all levels of the business are aware of product developments and where concerns exist, suitable mitigations are proposed and communicated.
Chair regular stakeholder forums to ensure that the product continues to deliver business benefit and gather product enhancements that drive continuous improvement.
Develop, document, and deliver reporting both periodically and on an ad hoc basis.
Support business users to ensure smooth transition from development activities into production by providing product knowledge during training, UAT and go live activities.
