Sanderson have partnered with a rapidly growing financial services firm who provide individuals and small to medium sized businesses with high quality tax, accounting and financial planning advice. As their client base continues to grow, they are looking to incorporate new staff members to help manage this natural expansion.

Main Responsibilities.

Delivering a high-quality service to our clients on a wide range of accounting and taxation matters. More specifically, the responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited liability partnerships and limited companies
  • Preparing self-assessment tax returns for individuals, partnerships and trusts
  • Preparing Corporation Tax returns for limited companies
  • Preparing VAT returns for individuals, partnerships and limited companies
  • Maintaining tax records for our clients and ensuring all accounts, tax returns and tax payments are submitted on time
  • Being responsible for your own portfolio of clients, reporting to the Tax Manager
  • Dealing with client and HMRC enquiries
  • Supporting the management team with any client advisory work

Knowledge and skill required

  • Has experience of working in a practice dealing with small businesses or is qualified to at least AAT Foundation and/or ATT
  • Has an interest in forging a career in taxation
  • Experience in preparing accounts for limited companies and calculating tax liabilities
  • Has a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office with excellent IT skills
  • Has a high level of analytical skills and a commercial approach to resolving issues and providing advice
  • Has integrity, discretion and understands the importance of confidentiality
  • Someone with excellent communication skills who enjoys interacting with a wide portfolio of clients
