Graduate Town Planner

Are you recently graduated and interested in working within a boutique practice? My client is seeking at least one Town Planning graduate, to join their successful tightknit team within a successful large architectural business.

We are thrilled to have been asked by the London office of a boutique national planning consultancy team to find their next one or two junior hires for the team. Ideally you will have at least one internship or some experience within a consultancy or local authority and keen to get started now or in September with an ambitious business and team.

Their projects vary from small to large London redevelopments and new builds, to policy and strategic work, as well as projects across the wider UK and everything in between!

Your role will include:

  • Writing reports and assisting in compiling and writing documents to go into planning applications
  • Researching and assisting senior colleagues with a variety of scales of projects
  • Managing small planning applications to start, with these increasing in complexity and size over time
  • Forging and maintaining relationships with clients, stakeholders and LPA officers alike
  • Attending meetings for Planning Committee, Consultations and similar events with team members and alone over time

Ideally my client is looking for someone who has graduated from an RTPI accredited Masters (or similar), and has strong written and communication skills. They are keen to find someone who is driven and a team player to progress.

In reward for the hard work you will receive a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as ongoing training and being part of an excellent team and company to progress you in your career. This team learns by doing and not in the classroom so you will get extensive exposure to projects and be in front of clients a lot quicker than on the PLC graduate programmes.

Please apply here or give me (Kate) a call on 07749 707060 to discuss. My client is looking to find the right candidate as soon as possible so if in doubt, do get in touch. I also have other clients and roles that may be of interest.

If you do not hear anything back within one week, please assume that you have been unsuccessful on this occasion, but I will retain your details for future roles.
