Apprentice Assistant to the Technical Director

What does the job role involve?

About the Company:

FUTURE Designs are a major UK lighting manufacturer based in Edenbridge Kent specializing in the manufacturing of exciting light fixtures for office commercial lighting. We supply to major projects in the UK, Europe and UAE.

Duties would include:

Provide support to the Technical Director & Projects Quotation Team. Learn to create and maintain technical data bases. Assist with the development product and learn associated skills. Build knowledge of new lighting products and technologies from our supplies and seek alternative products/materials to enhance our product range. Liaise with client directly with technical and general queries. Attend site meetings when necessary. The ideal candidate should be methodical and have science based qualifications/skills.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

As well as gaining a broad range of technical and professional knowledge and experience, you will also gain academic and vocational qualifications such asaEAL Level 3 Technical Knowledge Qualification in Engineering, EAL NVQ L2 Competency Qualification, EAL NVQ Level 3 Competency Qualification.

Upon successfully completing your apprenticeship the options are endless. You could continue to develop your career by choosing to obtain further qualifications, develop and improve your management and leadership skills or even move across the different areas of the business to pursue a career in your chosen field.
