MFP Services Ltd is an accounting and reporting consultancy practice. The business is executing plans to build financial relationships with investment & asset managers to provide finance operations and reporting at their investment platform level. The business also provides regular corporate accounting services for small and growing companies.

To support the business to deliver on this ambition, the business is recruiting an Accountant to manage the Accounting operations. The responsibilities of this new role will include but may not be limited to the below.

  • Assist in the production of annual consolidated financial statements and applications, preparation of spreadsheets, reports and correspondence as required
  • Production of quarterly consolidated management accounts, management information and variance analysis
  • Assist with client end of year external audits and other processes
  • VAT return preparation and review
  • Plan, organise and manage own workload to ensure your contribution to the teams monthly financial reporting process is achieved in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure swift payment of invoices and process payments and transfers
  • Input accounting data into the accounting system with speed and accuracy on such software as Xero, Clearbooks and others
  • Performing bank account and other balance sheet reconciliations Purchase, Sales & Cash
  • Resolution of finance related queries
  • Processing of Property Manager Reports
  • Providing necessary cover for Director during absence and holidays
  • Support with general administration tasks


  • ACA/CIMA/ACCA Part-Qualified (Finalist) Accountant/ACA/CIMA/ACCA Qualified
  • Minimum of 3 years working in accounts/finance team.
  • Real estate OR Practice experience advantageous
  • Proficient with Xero/Clearbooks/Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently (autonomous) as well as part of a team (team player)
  • Constructive & professional communication skills
  • Accurate reporting - Likes working with data
  • The confidence to propose new and improved processes and effect positive change


  • Salary: Up to £42k p/a base depending on experience
  • Hours: 5 days per week (3 full Office days & 2 off site days)
  • Discretionary Bonus of up to 10% (50:50 Company & Personal performance)
  • 3% Pension Contribution
  • Holiday allowance (24 days plus bank holidays)
