Fraud Operations Engineer

The Position

We are looking for someone who is driven by data discovery and curiosity to help deliver our anti-fraud solution to customers and drive the future of what we build.

You will enjoy working with one of the richest data sets in the world, innovative technology, and the opportunity to fightfraud in real-time for customers with highly visible web and mobile applications.

You will have an opportunity to engage closely with customers and become an expert infraudacross multiple use cases and industry verticals. We are looking for an individual who is obsessed with data and has a burning interest in investigating anomalous patterns in huge and often messy datasets, who is adept at making sense of these patterns and able to communicate with enterprise customers directly.

What You Will Do:

  • Work closely with customers to quickly understand theirfraudchallenges and identify how F5 might be able to help them successfully fightfraud.

  • Identify useful data from customers’ web and mobile applications and work with engineering and data science teams to incorporate in overall pipeline and models.

  • Predictfraudoutcomes, based on telemetry and customer-provided data.

  • Maintain models and rules for customers, and update or refresh them as needed.

  • Communicate clearly and effectively with internal teams (sales, customer success, product, engineering, etc. ) and with customers on the performance of machine learning models, as well as otherfraudand data science issues.

  • Provide feedback to internal teams on data science, product, engineering issues, and suggest process improvements.

What You Have:

  • 3+ years of industry experience.

  • Passion for investigation , discovery, and a keen sense of curiosity

  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to manipulate, interpret, and visualize structured and unstructured data.

  • Proficiency in Python (orsome programming language ) and SQL

  • Experience working with highly unbalanced data (e.g., commonly found in frauduse cases ) a strong plus.

  • A passion for delighting customers, and an aptitude for engaging with customers onfraud, security, and machine learning issues on a regular basis.

  • Strong familiarity with common web and mobile technologies.
