About The User Researcher Role
We’re looking for an experienced user researcher who’s happy getting stuck into research both qualitative and quantitative and able to use a variety of user testing methodologies to reveal actionable insight. You are happy to grasp a brief with both hands and to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team and confident with leading projects as well as being a motivating positive mentor and role model for all members of the team. We work in small multi-disciplinary teams to help clients better understand user behaviour. You’ll work closely with Analysts, UX and UI Designers, and Developers to ensure no corner is left unturned in discovering where every opportunity lies in helping our clients to achieve top class solutions for all their customers’ wants and needs.

You will have, many, or all of the following:
We need someone who thinks about the bigger picture - working with internal and client teams to understand technical constraints and commercial implications, thinking about how we deliver best value to our clients.
Ability to recommend/advise and provide appropriate research methodologies suitable for each unique brief
Conduct confidentiality quantitative and qualitative research
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to turn insights into presentational format that can be shared across a vast array of mindsets, drawing engagement in and bringing the attention to what will really make a difference for our clients
Can confidently make recommendations based from insights found
Commercial understanding and the ability to ask the right questions
Excellent presentation skills
The ability to challenge and influence people at all levels, clearly articulating what has been done and why, and evidencing decisions with insight.
Working closely with designers and developers to turn data into solutions
Experience and ability to confidentially plan, design, script (where applicable) and conduct user research independently to gain the best possible insights, including, but not limited to:
○ Polls and Surveys
○ Moderated and unmoderated user testing and interviews
○ Prototype testing
○ Record and document insights formally to be drawn out in a digestible format
○ Heuristic reviews
○ Proficient in all common research tools
○ Experience of A/B testing or continuous optimisation and iteration
Awareness of current industry trends but always thinking one step ahead
Agency experience, or experience working across a number of clients and projects
The ability to manage and prioritise your own workload, estimating and meeting deadlines and sticking to budgets
Happy to receive, record and apply feedback from a vast array of levels, business areas both internally and externally
Continuously looking for innovative ways to solve problems and go above and beyond what is asked
A desire to want to know why and always be thirsty to learn more, about your clients, about their customers and about your discipline
A strong understanding of the wider user journey, taking in digital and offline touchpoints
We shall be looking for examples of both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies of clients/projects that you have worked on.
Initially, Your Regular Tasks Would Include: You can expect to be part of a fast growing business that really wants to push the industry forwards.
Working with data analysts to understand user problems to inform anything from an A/B test, to a full redesign
Using appropriate quantitative and qualitative methodologies to draw out detail insight to inform potential solutions
Pulling insight gathered into a digestible and presentable format
Share insight discovered across internal and external teams
Close collaboration with cross disciplinary team members to understand client goals and user problems
Ownership of User Research across your clients
Being an active member in client meetings and status calls, acting as an advocate for top class user research and identifying opportunities to expand the remit wherever possible.
