Design, develop, test, QA, and maintain RF & Analog Process Design Kits (PDKs) for EDA tool Advanced Design System (ADS) and competitive tools in partnership with semiconductor IC manufacturing foundries.
Design and develop PDKs for semiconductor IC manufacturers and foundries.
Suggest IC foundries in delivering PDKs to their end customers by recommending proven design practices and standards.
B.E./ M.E./ Ph.D. in Electronics (or equivalent)
Knowledge of core electronics (or equivalent) and programming in at least C, C++, Qt, Perl, Python, etc.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, SKILL, Shell, etc. is highly desired for automation.
Expertise in any of the following areas: CAD infrastructure or EDA tools such as Advanced Design System (ADS of Keysight), Cadence Virtuoso or similar, Cadence AWR (Microwave Office), Ansys, CST, Mentor, Synopsys tools, etc.
Basic understanding of semiconductor technology, more specifically, IC design and simulation experience with GaAs, GaN, SiGe, and other CMOS process technologies.
Usage of industry-standard Simulation & Layout design and verification (DRC…Design Rule Check, LVS, ERC, etc.) tools.
Ability to read a foundry process design manual and interpret design rules and recommended design practices.
Ability to learn and program in EDA proprietary languages.
Knowledge of RF/Microwave fundamentals, Electronic Component Packages, Board Design, Layout & Fabrication fundamentals.
