WSP is currently seeking a Rail Engineer to join our Rail & Transit department located at our Bangalore, IN Office. The individual in this position will be responsible to work collaboratively with a team of Senior Engineers and Specialists across rail disciplines (Systems Engineering, Electrification Systems, Data Communications, Track Design and Project Controls), Principal Engineers, Systems Engineers, Analysts, and Coordinators. As a member of the Rail & Transit team, you will be given opportunities to use your transferable skills to define processes, create execution plans, mentor the junior team members, and be the technical lead for multiple projects. You will be supported by management to develop work plans and professional skills to become a strong leader in the consulting environment.
Support senior engineers in design deliverables, including conceptual design, and detailed design
Day-to-day activities as per Instructions from senior Engineers
Detail design for construction drawings
Develop a plan, elevation, and profile drawings;
Coordinate with other design disciplines for clash and conflict resolution
Work within project deadlines, be flexible, and produce high-quality work,
Other duties as assigned or required.
Key Competencies / Skills / Qualifications
Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineer/EIT
Having experience of 3 to 6 years in the relevant field.
Knowledge of Railway Systems, Communication, Signalling, Track, Traction, OCS, Simulations
AUTO CADD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, Bentley rail track,
3D design & BIM modeling is a plus
Background in outside plant design, a plus
Experience with low, medium, and/or high voltage cable designs a plus
Roadway utility design knowledge is also acceptable, railway preferred.
Transit railway experience a plus
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in an Engineering or a Science related discipline from an accredited university
Any certifications will be added advantage

Ability to meet deadlines in a project-oriented environment;
Ability to work successfully in multi-disciplinary teams and across different business units in a matrix organization with little to no supervision;
