IT Project Manager - Taguig

IT Project Manager (IT-PM) is an IT practitioner well-versed in applying processes and techniques to initiate, plan, manage and deliver IT projects to achieve their goals on time and on budget by using different project management tools and methodologies.

One of the main objectives of an IT-PM is to be responsible for planning and overseeing projects within S&R, from the initial ideation through to completion. This includes coordinating with various people and process owners to deliver projects on time, within budget, and with the desired outcomes aligned to project objectives.

IT-PM also acts as a point of liaison between the project team and senior management that regularly reports to stakeholders on the progress of the project. A key part of the IT-PM role is also to identify and mitigate risks that may impact the successful delivery of projects

Define project objectives, project scope, roles & responsibilities of the project team.
Outline deliverables based on the contract.
Define resource requirements and manage resource availability & allocation – both internal and third-party(vendor).
Preparation of a detailed project plan and identify key project milestones, workstreams & activities.
Develop schedules and prioritize activities based on timelines and milestones.
Manage and direct the activities to ensure delivery of the project according to the project plan
Organize and oversee any interdepartmental or cross-functional team involved in the project
Harmonize with other IT subject matter experts for proper alignment on systems, data, technologies, security, and processes.
Establish processes and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the team
Suggest industry best practices on business processes
Tracking project and providing regular reports on project status to project team and key stakeholders.
Managing and adjusting for any changes in project scope, schedule and/or budget.
Identifying and mitigating potential risks.
Ensures that system tools (software, hardware, infrastructure, people, and processes) are adequate to have an effective and productive project execution. This includes coordination on the preparation of meeting rooms, testing areas, training facilities, meals, stationeries, workstations, and others.
Managing the relationship and communication with the vendor and all stakeholders, including project acceptance, problem escalation, and support
Creates and maintains updated documentation of the project in all its phases
Prepares the payment request to the vendor and gets approvals according to the agreed schedule and/or deliverables.
When necessary, can act as technical advisor/consultant for the products, systems, infrastructure, and processes.
When necessary, review IT project proposals, contracts, and bids. Make necessary comments and suggestions that will be beneficial to the overall execution of the project
Strong technical skills and a solid understanding in project management methodology.
Business & commercial acumen and excellent stakeholder management skills
Analytical skills in order to correctly identify risks and solve any problems which may arise throughout the project.
Mathematical and budgeting skills.
Good time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once.
A good communicator with effective conflict resolution skills.
A good team player and an effective leader who is able to motivate their project team
