Your new role
In your new role You will develop robust, safe systems of work across all E&F activities, acting as the specialist lead for Fire Safety. You will be reporting to the Head of Infrastructure & Fire Safety, you will provide expert, specialist, and professional technical advice. You will be a professional specialist who must be able to demonstrate a high level of knowledge and expertise of the relevant legislation and standards and will be working closely with H&SS on external or internal audits in connection with fire safety performance.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have a Level 4 in Fire Safety and Full Membership of the Institute of Fire Engineers (or equivalent). You must have a track record of maintaining continuous learning through CPD and membership of a relevant professional body. You will be knowledgeable and understand building guides and British standards pertaining to fire safe and of principles of building construction in relation to fire safety. You must have previous experiences in delivering fire safety related training and developing policies and procedures and be able to analyse and summarise significant amounts of data from a range of sources, developing options and identifying fire related risks and opportunities for service development, building positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
