Location: Newent, Gloucestershire

Salary: £11,252 per annum (for mature apprentice pay is aligned with the Real Living Wage)

Our client has a really exciting opportunity for a?HR Apprentice?to join their people team based in Newent, Gloucestershire. The HR Apprentice will support the people team in providing an efficient and streamlined service to the organisation. Since we are a small team there will be ample opportunities for their HR Apprentice?to gain exposure in all areas of the HR, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and more!


To be successful you will need to be committed to your own development and be prepared to make the most of the opportunities, hands on experience, and qualifications given to you.



Day to day duties include:

  • Administration of the recruitment, pre-employment and new starter processes

  • Managing the HR mailbox, responding to general enquiries and escalating, where appropriate, to HR Business Partner level.

  • Updating the HR system to ensure accuracy of employee information and timely processing for Payroll.

  • Support the HR team in the collation of all HR Metrics including turnover, headcount and absence.

  • Execute employee administration ensuring that it is managed accurately and timely manner

  • Book and arrange training courses and maintain training records

  • Maintain accurate paper and electronic personnel files, ensuring all paperwork is filed and up to date.



Qualifications

  • You will have achieved 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade A C (4-9) including English and Maths



Preferred skills

  • Knowledge with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook).

  • Analytical skills (able to work with numbers, data, run metrics and pull reports) and good attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.

  • Strong team player qualities.

  • You can demonstrate confidentiality due to the sensitivity of data received.

  • You have a hands-on attitude, be flexible, adaptable, and proactive.

  • You aim to attain impeccable customer service and excellent customer facing skills.



You will attend Heart of Worcester college every Tuesday from 6pm 9pm and travel expenses will be paid for this.
