Are you looking for your next challenge? We're recruiting Installation and Commissioning Engineers to join our Highways Team - there will be roles based in the North and South of the UK, some travel will be required.

You'll be working in our Highways Division in a Team that will be supporting the upgrade of all swich technology on the National Highways Network - the Team will also be responsible for pre-staging the new equipment prior and during the Transformation.

The Installation and Commissioning Team will be responsible for:

  • Removal of all NRTS1 equipment, Alcatel 6850, SAS-M, Cellstack, DVR
  • Installation of NRTS 2 equipment. Juniper, ML540, ML622, ML684, SaS-t
  • Test and terminate a variety of copper and Fibre ends within agreed Testing requirements
  • Install of Active switch technology and liaise with the Provisioning team in the NOC
  • Built design documentation updated to reflect new technology transfer

Typical Deliverables:

  • Work to project schedule to deliver removal, installation and commissioning with your region
  • Ensure all associated safety, quality assurance and project documentation is accurate and meets compliance requirements
  • Work with logistics to ensure all tools, equipment is available for your schedule to ensure work is delivered on time
  • Working safely at all times

Experience required:

  • Demonstrate a clear understand of technical Fibre and Copper drawings
  • Some form of telecommunications qualifications/certifications
  • Knowledge of Communication Networks and experience of working with
  • Transmission and IP networks
  • Experience of working within bespoke communications infrastructures and delivering new technologies
  • Drivers license is essential
