job details toc engineer
the primary objective of the position is to provide monitoring and operational support within the global toc group ensuring that the gts hosted and managed services/servers/applications and data center facilities are highly available.
the toc engineer role requires foundation to advanced skills that enable the individual to deliver a high level of service and to meet the expectation from the business of a highly available agile infrastructure. foundation to advanced knowledge of core, specialized and technical competencies is required, along with a solid understanding of an enterprise it infrastructure operational environment, adhering to industry best practice.

technology operations center
24x7x365 infrastructure, systems and application monitoring
proactive problem resolution
additional responsibilities regardless of team include
accountable for execution according to established standards, procedures, and processes
cross-functional support for development and implementation of systems
ensure data center systems are always available and reliable
ensure optimization and performance of the hardware and virtual infrastructure
monitor the service desk system
participate in planned systems day and other maintenance activities
participate in a 24x7x365 on-call rotation
respond to and manage service issues and problems
responsible for awareness and compliance to policy and guidelines of the isms
report any breaches in information security or policies

participation in global working groups responsible for the deployment and development of global technology systems and infrastructure
provide input into peer performance reviews
knowledge sharing / documentation

assist in training new staff in technical processes and procedures
work with dts leadership and applications teams in reviewing new documentation

technical skills
should have excellent knowledge of the exchange 2013/2010, active directory, blackberry, lync.
the candidate should able to troubleshoot issues related to exchange 2010 and windows server 2008/2012 server.
having network knowledge would be an added advantage. basic troubleshooting skills needed.
should have troubleshooting experience/work experience in client, gpos, mcafee and file/print servers.
should have a strong understanding of exchange dag, global catalog servers and replication incidents.
candidate should incident management skills.
should have good documentation skills and able to document the troubleshooting/process related documents for the team.
should have basic understanding of iis functionality.
has a basic knowledge and background of all solutions architecture technologies, processes and issues, sufficiently enough to be able to
understand how to proceed further and advise our with peer guidance to stakeholders
