Support the Vice President Fundraising and Partnership to develop and implement clear 360-degree donor communication and media strategy for the organization ensuring that this is consistent with the guidelines and principles of overall Akhand Jyoti’s communication strategy.
Brand (cause) building: Define and drive the brand to a broad range of stakeholders (donor) with tailored and targeted strategies and interventions for each section of the donor and other external partners both India and abroad.
Fund-raising: Conceptualize and manage cause-based campaigns to facilitate fundraising.
Create, develop and maintain all Akhand Jyoti’s fundraising Collaterals
Writing: copywriting, editing and proof-reading: Deliver impactful field stories, fundraising proposals, donor reports, informational briefs, messaging manuals, blogs, articles, newsletters, leadership messages, press releases, social media copies amongst others.
Design: Make, develop and maintenance of all print and electronic collateral including, but not limited to, newsletters, appeal letters, press releases, success stories, blogs, brochures, statistical metrics-newsletters, Kiosk design, and T-shirt design as needed by the fundraising department
Coordination: Ensure the availability of a rolling strategic plan of the fundraising department, including key messages, publications, fundraising collaterals, employee engagement materials, digital and web activities.
Market research and analysis: Help Akhand Jyoti to stand out for its quality, authenticity, and transparency - research best practices and be familiar with NGOs who “do it better”, and always have ideas about how we can improve our communications, designs, and story-telling toward donor, prospect and external stakeholders and help position Akhand Jyoti to stand out from the others
Manage Digital Marketing: Communication Strategy including but not limited to: - Social Media marketing and communication strategy from a fundraising perspective - Email marketing and communication strategy and integration with another platform
Donor Communication strategy: Develop, implement and manage communication strategy for strategic donor partners through newsletters and any other effective medium • Send out quarterly e- Donor Communication strategy: newsletters to all our subscribers/stakeholders. Set and implement communications strategy annual, quarterly, and event-based fundraising goals for each donor type
Media Engagement: Proactively pursue outlets to share our stories and awareness of the cause to the media and keep a good relationship with them.
Social media: Manage social media to increase the visibility of the organisation and increase fund flow. · Manage all areas involving fundraising. · Create eye-catching publications, videos, blogs etc. to strengthen communications with all stakeholders on Facebook page, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube accounts etc.
Website: Update Akhand Jyoti org website and social media pages with time-sensitive fundraising campaigns, marathon information, and other content
Fundraising Events: To strategies and execute successful campaigns and events to enhance the brand and raise funds. Execute fundraising events across the country.
Video: Create YouTube videos on CANVA or similar software or any other video as the fundraising department required from time to time
Report: Design format of Utilization and other donor reports
Other responsibilities: Design and write concise, informative, and visually appealing report along with visually appealing statistics
Online establishing a strong relationship with key personalities across Corporates, Influencers and Individuals who can be the key source for fundraising.
DESIRED ATTRIBUTES/ SKILLS:
The candidate needs excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills in English and one more language preferably Hindi. Should love design. One should be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, in particular Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, Video editor, Canva and other related designing software. One to be on top of the latest designs, trends and thrive off the unlimited creativity that your skills give you. You must have handled the website and know how to create fundraising landing pages.
Familiar with digital Marketing, Facebook Pages, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube & Mass mailing software. Previous experience with videos (shooting and editing). Well connected with media houses.
Qualification: Graduate/Postgraduate in mass communication, Journalism or equivalent but qualification will not be a constrain for the right candidate. 5+ years of relevant work experience in communication, design, and media roles. Previous experience working with the Fundraising team would be an advantage. We need candidates who can join immediately.
