Job Description

The Application team delivers and supports (build & run) various IT solutions for the business operations. The role of an Global Application Support Manager is to provide Tier-1 and 2 application support and development services to our internal customers as well as managing a team of application subject matter experts (SMEs) to support all applications used in the orgranization. He/she is someone closed to the business, able to understand business functional requirement, fulfil it by providing corresponding technical solution and finally communicate it back to the business stakeholders in layman terms. In this dynamic role, you will work across regions and business functions, partnering closely with the stakeholders across various disciplines.

Typical Accountabilities

  • Manage a team of application SMEs locally or remotely to provide a seamless application support to the business.
  • Provide technical and functional expertise in resolving business operations issues related to IT systems/applications.
  • Plan and execute UAT, provide consultation to users, document issues and resolutions, lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams and cross functional teams in resolving reported issues.
  • Architect, plan and build enhancements to base applications including interface with other auxiliary systems.
  • Part of the on-call arrangement for time-critical issues occurring during off business hours.

Technical Knowledge required:

  • Visual Studio, C#.Net / VB.Net framework 4.0
  • Knowledge of VB Script
  • Entity Framework
  • Crystal Report 9 or 12 versions, SSRS
  • SQL Server 2016 (Triggers, Procedures, Views, Functions, Job Scheduling)
  • Knowledge of Label Designing (Nice Label)
  • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Microsoft Power Apps
  • Infragistics controls usage (good to have third party .net components)


  • Minimum 8 years or more experience in related field.
  • Ability to think out of the box and guide other team members to follow.
  • 24/7 Point of escalation for any Application related issues and major incidents.
  • Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
  • Experience in supporting/ enhancing/ implementing/ migrating various ERP systems will be desirable.
  • Previous experience of working within a multi-national organization and experience in managing a team
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex application and systems related issues
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs and processes.
  • Confidence and presence to deal with Senior Management.
  • Ability to prioritize/schedule work personally.
  • Good analytical skill in problem solving
  • Able to quickly identify potential problems and seek advice when required.
  • Able to quickly grasp and interpret salient information.
  • Excellent Organizational and administrative skills
