JOB TITLE: Manager- Life Insurance/Group Benefits and Individual Benefits


Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree (Essential)
  • Master’s in commerce or Management (Preferred)
  • Industry Certifications: LOMA or III Associate or Fellowship Certifications preferred i.e. Associate Life Management, Fellow, Life Management, Secure Retirement Management


Functional & Technical Competencies

Experience in Life & Annuities - Underwriting Support/ Group Retirements/Individual Retirements serving clients across shared services/Third Party BPO service providers (Mandatory)

  • Understanding of E2E Life Insurance cycle & Retirements (Benefit Administration - Direct Benefits and Contributions) - Pensions administration)
  • Mandatory experience of Policy Administration - Financial and Non-Financial Changes i.e., Change of address, Preparation and Changes of documents, Printing of Files, Changes in Billing system, Change of Beneficiaries, Name Insured Changes, Certificates, Pensions and Contributions administration etc. focussed on North American region preferred and optional from UK, ANZ, Europe: English Speaking regions.
  • Mandatory to have someone with experience of Enrollments and New Business
  • Preferred to have someone with exp: Life Underwriting, Issuance, Renewals or Re-Insurance business
  • Familiarity with Insurance Eco System and Lifecycle
  • Six Sigma Certified which includes experience in identifying & leading Kaizen or Lean (Desirable)
  • Clear understanding of Forecasting, account level P&L from Management perspective

Key Performance Indicators

  • Identify process risks & conduct regular forecast vs incoming vs completion analysis.
  • Conduct performance review of the span, create plan of action for deficit if any and track for closure
  • Daily staffing planning and management of SLA’s & KPI’s
  • Ensure weekly basis highs and lows are highlighted and zero surprise framework implemented.
  • Develop relationships with client stakeholders- should highlight challenges due to process design and controllable challenges
  • Manage People Issues & Escalations
  • Drive process improvements and ideation and probable automation opportunity
  • Manage quality, controls, risk & compliance aspect for the deal
  • Plan & coordinate requirements of scheduling, training, recruitment, Capacity & Seat Utilization etc
  • Deliver Transitions smoothly
  • Ensure data management governance is followed
  • Review of MI, analysis, improvement plans
  • Shifts : 3 :30 PM -12 :30 AM ( European Shift)
