Software Engineer / Sr. Software Engineer (Service Providers)

This role requires a high level of creativity in assessing customer requests for custom development, and proposing technical solutions that meet the desired requirements and best leverage our existing architecture. Excellent troubleshooting ability and a quality first mindset are also critical.

Opportunities also exist at the senior level, depending on experience.

Required Experience And Skills
  • Ability to learn and develop proficiency with new technologies is a must.
  • Understanding of relational database concepts, and basic proficiency with data modeling.
  • Relevant technologies:
    • Significant pluses include experience with multi-value databases (PICK), UniBasic, System Builder and/or DesignBais.
    • Proficiency with the use and administration of Apache Tomcat web container under Linux and Windows.
    • Experience with Java.
    • Experience with Agile methodologies.
    • Experience with version control; specifically Git and GitHub.
  • Willingness to adapt and evolve to technology changes.
  • Possesses high urgency, integrity and accountability.
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration ability.
  • Knowledge of PEO industry and/or HR software.
  • Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or equivalent.
Duties And Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production system and customer software issues, against all application tiers.
  • Evaluate incoming custom development requests from customers, propose technical solutions that will satisfy enhancement requests, and complete development for these projects as assigned.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects and drive them to completion in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that projects meet technical requirements and comply with PrismHR’s development and technology standards.
  • Collaborate with QA to ensure that software deliverables have been well tested.
  • Learn new technologies, as needed.
PrismHR is a fast-paced SaaS company which provides customers with a cloud-based payroll process software application. PrismHR also provides professional services including system implementation consulting, custom configurations, and training. Lastly, via the Company’s Marketplace platform customers and end users access other human resources and employee benefits applications from PrismHR’s Marketplace Partners.
