Advanced Occupational Therapist

Role: Advanced Occupational Therapist

Location: Huntingdon

Salary: £37,000- £42,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours a week,Monday to Friday, Part time/ flexible working considered

Our Occupational Therapists and clinical support staff are a pivotal part of the success of the service we provide.

What we look for in an Occupational Therapist

  • Experience and skills of working with a variety of service users across a range of disabilities
  • Experience of working within a health and/or social care setting
  • Knowledge of a range of standard and special equipment
  • Experience of supervision of staff
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective organization and time management skills
  • IT skills
  • Ability to prioritize your work and work to deadlines
  • Ability to reflect and critically appraise own performance
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Ability to motivate others and have a positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn

Essential Criteria

  • Specialist knowledge of equipment and specials
  • Experience of Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention including moving and handling assessments
  • Post qualifying experience within a hospital or community setting
  • Experience of prescribing specials equipment for children and adults
  • Involvement in clinical governance
  • Understanding of Occupational Therapy Outcome measures
  • Understanding of research and audit processes
  • Ability to Travel throughout the county
  • Health, safety and Risk aware
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
  • Experience of working with a range of partner organizations,

Desirable Criteria

  • Ability to complete and use spreadsheets (Excel) and other IT based reports
  • Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions and recommendations
  • Experience in developing and implementing Clinical governance
  • Experience of prescribing specials equipment for children and adults
  • Ability to participate in research and Audit and develop best practice
  • Ability to deliver training
