Salary: £34,000 - £37,000
Location: Leeds - Hybrid working, 2-3 days in the office

Our client is looking for an Internal Communications specialist to join their team in Leeds. This is a new role and will involve planning, creating and delivering engaging internal communications for the business area. Working closely with key stakeholders across the business to understand communication needs and deliver change information. You will create a strategic communication plan for the business area, utilising a variety of tools, techniques and channels.

We are looking for someone with strong internal communications experience within a larger organisation. You will have used multiple communication channels such as newsletters, intranet, emails, printed documents, videos, events, presentations and board reports. You will need to have excellent written skills, a strong eye for detail and experience using design tools such as photoshop, InDesign or Canva would be a benefit. Video production and editing is also an advantage but not essential

Key responsibilities:

  • Working closely with key stakeholders across the business area to understand internal communication needs
  • Developing the internal communication strategy for the business area
  • Producing engaging internal communications using a variety of channels such as newsletters, intranet, social media, blogs, emails, printed documents, videos, events and presentations
  • Supporting with board pack production
  • Producing colleague recognition campaigns
  • Interpreting digital transformation information and delivering to the wider business
  • Analysing the success of communications and feeding back to management

Experience needed:

  • Proven experience in an internal communications role within a large organisation
  • Experience in devising and producing creative communications campaigns from concept to completion
  • Experience using a variety of tools and channels
  • Video production and editing is an advantage but not essential
  • Ability to produce visual media to a high standard and for all levels
  • Exceptional writing and scripting skills
  • Ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders
