Head of Marketing

If so, our client is looking for a strategic Head of Marketing with a proven track record of delivering ROI-driven campaigns.

A highly strategic role that will focus on the development of the organization’s Marketing, Communications and Events business growth across all channels, you will be responsible for a lean and agile team plus full management of external PR and Digital Marketing agencies. You’ll focus on developing and implementing strategies to strengthen the company’s market presence and brand “voice” to help deliver continued growth.

The role will have responsibility for the development and delivery of the company Marketing Communications and Events business plan, to deliver against key performance indicators and targets.

Main duties:

Working closely with the Commercial Director and the wider team to maximise ROI via marketing, communications and events and also leading on the company CSR development.

  • Lead and collaborate with the wider leadership team to develop and implement marketing, communications and events strategies according to company goals and objectives to achieve growth plans.
  • Ensure Brand identity is aligned to company vision and plans
  • Lead the department and provide guidance and feedback to other marketing professionals
  • Produce ideas for promotional events or activities and organise them efficiently
  • Plan and execute campaigns for core program promotion and launching of new products
  • Monitor progress and submit performance reports
  • Responsible for producing interesting and on-point online content, editorial design and organising the company’s PR aligned to their vision and values.
  • Conduct market research to keep abreast of trends and competitor’s marketing movements
  • Control budgets and allocate resources amongst marketing, communication and events activity to achieve marketing leading ROI
  • Act as the organization’s agent with external parties such as media, stakeholders and potential clients to help build strategic partnerships
  • Lead on company CSR initiatives

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience as commercial Marketing leader and strategist in a B2C (ideally leisure sector) business
  • Excellent leadership and organisational skills
  • Analytical and creative thinking
  • Customer-oriented approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Adept with current and online marketing techniques and best practices
  • Thorough knowledge of web analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, WebTrends etc.) and Google Adwords
  • CIM qualification is desirable
  • BA/BSc in Marketing, PR or Business or equivalen
