Team Building Lead
We are an Indo-Japanese joint venture which has so far been on an exciting journey for the past 37 years. It has been a journey of mostly highs, and some lows. None the less, we are today the proud manufacturer of automotive fluids which find their way into majority of the cars when they roll off the factory line in India. From humble beginnings, today, we have grown to a 380+ team strength, a state-of-the art manufacturing unit and R&D centre spread over 25,000 square meters, with corporate headquarters located in Gurugram.
We are now entering the next phase of our journey. This will see us spreading our wings to different categories as well as markets. Like the first, the success of this phase we believe will be driven by the quality of people, their skill, their attitude and their spirit. The right team will be the primary asset that will drive this organisation to attaining its ambition.
We are therefore looking as a first step to find this person who will help us build this team. The person should be able to work with us in creating well defined job descriptions for the various roles as they emerge, be able to define the skills and attitude which would be pre-requisites for each of these roles, and there after go out and conduct a search to short list the right candidates.
The ideal person should have spent a fair amount of time in recruitment, either with a large corporate or with a consulting firm specialising in recruitment across diverse roles and levels. Most importantly, the person should know where to look, and have connections across sectors that can be leveraged to reach the right candidate in a short span of time. We are intentionally not specifying the number of years of experience, as we believe individuals competency development time do differ.
The person should be able to funnel down the process of sieving through resumes, holding first round of conversations virtually, to creating the final shortlist of candidates to be interviewed by senior management. Therefore, it is important the person has the ability to read between lines in resumes as well as be good judge of people’s attitude through virtual conversation. The next time we put out a search like this, a similar piece, if not better, will have to be authored by the person. Hence, it goes without saying, language proficiency in both English and Hindi, are basic table stakes. A hint, your covering letter while applying for this role will carry as much weightage as your resume, to get you shortlisted for a conversation.
This role will give the person flexibility to remote work and to be physically present in office depending on the need of the day. It may, or may not be a full-time one. We are open to co-creating the terms of engagement with the right person. We do understand that when you pay peanuts, you get monkeys. We will therefore make sure the package is attractive enough to appeal to the brightest.
