Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 + Bonus + Benefits

The Role

Play a key role within a brand-new small and dynamic team within for a global organisation.

You will be responsible for leading the new Elektron Finished parts team, integrating, maintaining, and developing the quality management system for this department, in line with the LMT Global Quality Management Systems. This role offers the opportunity to implement new and efficient processes aligned with current methods and quality standards within other parts of the business.

This role offers exposure to work with high value clients within the motorsport and aerospace industry.

Your new team will be tasked with providing a revolutionary new sector for Elektron Finished Parts for new and existing clients to offer solutions to raw material handling with rare metals. You will be experienced in Quality Assurance tools, using them to communicate, at all levels, relevant Product Quality data. Within this role you will undertake and track audits using the CAPA database, of both raw material and subcontracted process suppliers to ensure Quality and Compliance of external suppliers to the global business.

Based in the Manchester, the role will require working closely with the EFP Programme Manager, Supply Chain Manager, and Quality Assurance teams to support the fulfilment of customer programmes, to the required quality & cost levels, including the management of external sub-contractors. There may be occasional international travel.

Successful applicants will need to be familiar with AS9100 REV D or similar Aerospace standards.

  • Supporting supplier approvals for raw materials and sub-contractors, adding the relevant Quality Plans in SAP S4/HANA and defining any procedures required.
  • Monitoring of key raw material suppliers, sub-contractors and manufactured product quality performance.
  • Review and flow down of requirements in technical drawings.
  • Auditing suppliers, sub-contractors, and internal processes, raising CAPA and closing out actions in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to FMEA, PPAP and NPD/I activities with the aim of developing capable process specifications.
  • Defining validation plans, gauge R&R and MSA activities required to meet customer and standard requirements, either through product development or change processes.
  • Updating QM data including Inspection Plans, Certificate Profiles, and Information Records to ensure customer specific quality aspects are defined in SAP and related systems.
  • Work with other departments on quality aspects of operational and continuous improvements including design and implementation of new processes and procedures.

  • Experience in a quality role under a QMS from, ISO9001 / As9100 / IATF16949


  • Experience of working in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Use of QA tools to assess and improve product quality.
  • Experience using SAP or similar ERP.
  • Experience of using MS Office 365 & Intermediate level Excel, i.e. PowerBi, Graphs, Data analysis.

Any of the below would also be desirable but is NOT essential:

  • Internal auditor training.
  • Membership of CQI or IRCA register.Experience in facilitating FMEA projects.
  • Experience of using SAP S4/HANA.
  • Experience in facilitating projects and working with teams related to RCCA and FMEA activities.
  • Working with technical drawings, machining, and coating of light metals.
  • Aerospace component supply chains.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint and database systems.
