REQUIREMENTS: An appropriate bachelor’s degree/national diploma (NQF Level 6) in Transport/Logistics Management/Public/Administration or equivalent relevant qualification. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Transport Management or a related field. A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years at the Supervisory level. Knowledge of contract management and the legislative framework governing Transport management well as in-depth knowledge of Fleet Management Systems. Good coordination, planning, communication (written and spoken), interpersonal relations, conflict management and resolution, report writing and organizational skills. Ability to work long hours and help subordinates and clients voluntarily, gathering and analysing information, drafting reports, interpreting, and applying policies, work independently and in a team. A valid driver’s licence. DUTIES: Manage Departmental fleet travel arrangements. Acquisition and disposal of Departmental vehicles. Update Departmental vehicle assets register. Ensure inspection and maintenance of Departmental and subsidized vehicles. Coordination of Subsidized vehicle process and convene Departmental Transport Advisory Committee (DTAC) Manage departmental parking allocation function. Development and implementation of transport policies and directives. Conducting information sessions on transport policies and directives to employees and relevant stakeholders. Coordinate payment of service providers, compiling reports on fleet-related matters. Monitor vehicle tracking system. Manage damages and losses on Departmental fleet vehicles.
