Property Manager - Building Safety

Community Partnership Personnel is delighted to be hiring a Building Safety Officer on behalf of a Birmingham based Housing Association.

  • £36,000 plus a car user allowance of £1680 PA
  • 12 month FTC
  • 37.5 hr/week
  • Monday to Friday
  • Flexible & Hybrid working systems in place

Your duties

  • Manage fire safety for the organisations residential buildings
  • Take responsibility for ensuring that all residential buildings are safe in accordance to the new legislation and guidance
  • Prepare the organisation for new and upcoming changes in fire safety legislations and building compliance
  • Support the technical services team in the implementation of investment programmes
  • Leading on the fire risk assessment programme for complex buildings
  • Undertake a program of fire risk assessments across the organizations stock, developing, implementing, and prioritizing action plans for risk control
  • Effectively contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of the health and fire safety policies, procedures, and arrangements across the organization

You will need:

  • Have minimum 3 years' experience in residential fire safety including management of fire risk assessments.
  • Experience in property management and safety
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations and health and safety legislation, including a basic understanding of CDM, Asbestos and Electrical Regulations
  • Ideally a NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or similar
