Job Title: Customer Services Executive (finance)
Location: Horsham
Salary: £22k-£24k per annum depending on experience

Our client is a well-established successful business in the financial services sector, with over 85 employees and a supportive collaborative team culture. They are looking for a Member Finance Assistant to join their growing team at their Head Offices in Horsham.
The Member Finance Assistant reports to the Customer Services Executive (finance) and is responsible for providing financial and administrative services in respect to Network Member finance matters.

Responsibilities


Member Finance Support

  • Respond to and help with a wide range of inbound and outbound queries to and from Network members in regards to Finance related matters.
  • Working with the Accounts team in ensuring daily and weekly payments are made to Members accurately and promptly.
  • Assisting in the monthly and annual Network deductions from Member's Income Accounts.
  • Assisting with matters arising from where Members join and leave the Network.
  • Carrying out internal, inbound and outbound transfers of Network Member business.
  • Carrying out ad-hoc projects driven by business need in relation to Finance - i.e. regulatory change, best practice etc.



Member Finance Supervision

  • Work with the Member Finance Manager to carry out the Network credit control policies and procedures
  • Assisting the Member Finance Manager in carrying out the Network Financial Monitoring systems and controls.



Other

  • To promote and work at all times towards the company policy of delivery of Client Best Interest outcomes.
  • To ensure adherence at all times to the company's suite of policy and procedures, with distinct regard and compliance with the Conflict of Interest Policy and Inducement and Incentive policy.
  • To take responsibility for own performance and to identify personal development areas.


Requirements

  • Good all round education, including at a minimum Maths and English GCSE or equivalent


Experience Required:

  • To have worked in a customer facing role in the past
  • Have exposure to Finance/Financial Services in a previous role, or have taken/taking qualifications that show interest towards a Finance/Financial Services career.
  • Have excellent numeracy skills
  • Able to use Excel to an intermediate standard.
  • Be able to use Word to issue standard and merged letters
  • Be very organised and disciplined in approach to work tasks
  • Be confident in dealing with queries from Directors, Staff and Network Members
  • Be able to work to deadlines and pay attention to detail and accuracy
  • Be flexible in your approach to duties required of you



Knowledge Required:

  • The successful candidate must be capable of carrying out his/her work to a high standard. You must be capable of making decisions in a timely manner.
