About the Company:
Our client is an international supplier of enrichment services and fuel cycle products for the civil nuclear industry, serving utility customers worldwide who provide low carbon electricity through
nuclear generation. As a result of investment activity, my client are seeking people to enhance their in-house project delivery capability based in our Group Projects team who are responsible for driving
excellence in portfolio management, project management, project engineering management, estimating, project controls, procurement and contract management, and construction management.

The role:
Reporting to the Director of Group Projects, the Senior HSE Manager will develop the HSE management function for Urenco that provides subject matter expert consulting and advice across
Urenco Group Project portfolio. The Senior HSE Manager will drive HSE compliance and improvements in Urenco, contractor and subcontractor project delivery.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure a pro-active safety culture, throughout the project lifecycle and across the group
  • Ensure HSE objectives are fully embedded into group project activities
  • Drive HSE compliance as well as provide high quality specialist support and advice on HSE risks
  • Design, implement, advise, consult, and lead on HSE strategies. Enabling the support of the successful delivery of the group’s objectives and strategy, across its capex portfolio
  • Advise and lead on HSE matters within Urenco, contractors and sub-contractors
  • Independently assess contractors HSE management processes against good industry practice and Urenco objectives
  • Ensure knowledge is retained and transferred, undertake lessons learned reviews to promote continuous improvement in HSE matters

We are now looking for an individual who can make a difference and add value to our existing team, the following skills and experience will provide an indication of the types of team players we are looking for:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, as well as professional qualification/accreditation obtained (e.g. NEBOSH or equivalent)
  • Post graduate qualification in HSE management – desirable
  • Extensive knowledge of the EPC/ EPCM contractor approaches HSE implementation and practices
  • Solid knowledge of best practice in HSE and legislative requirements
  • Ability to analyse project requirements, critical success factors and translate these into bespoke HSE delivery strategies
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing HSE strategies, that successfully deliver projects to meet business objectives
  • Experience of managing HSE activities within complex multi stakeholder contractual relationships as well as leveraging those relationships to facilitate an incident and injury free workplace
  • Conversant in business English


Remuneration; The salary range for this role is £72,307 – £90,384. Annual pay reviews are conducted
